Facebook CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg grabbed headlines recently when he announced an expanded mission for the social networking powerhouse. The 2-billion member platform was launched on the shape-shifting notion that connecting everyone was an inherently good and transformative thing. No argument there. But now, says Zuckerberg, Facebook has a newer and perhaps more important goal: “To give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together.”
